The premise was simple—eat only animal products. That meant beef, lamb, chicken, eggs, fish, and dairy. No vegetables, no fruits, no grains, and certainly no processed foods. It sounded radical, but the testimonials convinced me to try it.

The First Few Weeks – False Hope

Initially, I felt great. My digestion improved, and I experienced a significant energy boost. I thought I had found the ultimate diet. But as the weeks went by, my body started sending distress signals that I foolishly ignored.

The Warning Signs I Ignored

As my body adapted to this high-protein, high-fat diet, I began experiencing strange symptoms:

  • Severe Fatigue: The energy boost I initially felt disappeared, leaving me constantly drained.

  • Heart Palpitations: My heart would race unexpectedly, making me feel anxious and uneasy.

After my hospital visit, I immediately reintroduced plant-based foods into my diet. I focused on balance—incorporating lean meats, healthy fats, vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Within weeks, my symptoms started to improve. My energy returned, my digestion normalized, and my heart palpitations disappeared.

I also learned the importance of listening to my body. No diet should make you feel weak, sick, or depleted. While some people thrive on the carnivore diet, it was a near-death experience for me.
